Arrival at Your Home or Chosen Meeting Point
Our team will arrive at your home or a place of significance at the time agreed. This may be the family home, the home of the deceased, or another meaningful location. If desired, we can arrange a traditional procession, where the funeral director leads on foot as a mark of respect.
The Funeral Procession
The hearse will lead the way, followed by family and friends in limousines or their own vehicles. The route can include special places that held meaning to your loved one, such as a former home or favourite spot. We’ll ensure the timing and route are clearly communicated.
Arrival at the Venue
When you arrive at the crematorium, church, or chosen venue, our team will be on hand to guide you through each step. Pallbearers—whether family, friends, or our team—will carry the coffin, and personal touches like flowers or keepsakes will be thoughtfully arranged.
The Funeral Service
This is the moment for family and friends to come together. The service may include readings, hymns, eulogies, or prayers, depending on your wishes. Whether religious or non-religious, we’ll handle every detail—from seating to music—so the focus remains on honouring your loved one.
The Committal
This is the final farewell. If you’ve chosen a burial, the committal happens at the graveside. For cremations, it takes place at the crematorium. It’s often an emotional moment, marked with words, prayers, or the placing of flowers. We’ll be there to support you.
Leaving the Venue
After the committal, guests will be invited to leave in an orderly and respectful manner. You may wish to take time to speak with guests or view the floral tributes. Our team will ensure everything runs smoothly at this stage.
Wake or Reception
Many families choose to gather afterward to celebrate the life of their loved one. Whether it’s a simple gathering at home or a reception at a local venue, we can assist in arranging the event and ensuring it’s a comforting and meaningful space for everyone. We have a suitable venue, Homelands Hall for wake/refreshments
After the Funeral
